This holiday season, FanSided and Site5 have joined together to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of America.

"BCGA Mission Statement:To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring responsible citizens.Core Beliefs:A Boys & Girls Club Provides:A safe place to learn and grow….Ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals….Life-enhancing programs and character development experiences….Hope and opportunityOur goal is to reach at least $5,000 (hopefully much more than that) by the end of the holiday season. FanSided and Site5 have chipped in the first 10% and we thank Site5 for that generous donation, as well as with our continued partnership. To make a donation, go to the following link:http://bgca.convio.net/site/TR/Events/General?pg=fund&fr_id=1060&pxfid=1970Any amount that you can give will do. We know that with the ecomony, times are tough for everyone. That being said, even a single dollar will bring us a step closer to our goal, and will be greatly appreciated by both FanSided and Site5, as well as the BCGA.With Thanksgiving just passing us by, there are a lot of things that I am personally thankful for:I’m thankful for living in Chicago, one of the greatest sports cities in the United StatesI’m thankful for Kenny Williams and Jerry Reinsdorf, who seem to actually be willing to spend some money this off season and pick up a left handed batI’m thankful for Ozzie Guillen, who never lets there be a dull moment in the White Sox organization for too longI’m thankful for Derrick Rose, who is bringing the Bulls back to being a power in the EastSports aside, there are a few other things I am thankful for:I’m thankful for having my parents and my sisters. They may get on my nerves a lot of the time, but they are all the family I have, and I don’t know what I would be without themI’m thankful that my dad has survived his 14th Thanksgiving with multiple sclerosis, and that all of his medical problems haven’t taken him from usI’m thankful that even though money is extremely tight right now, we are able to make it through day after dayI’m thankful for the people at Jewel-Osco who hired me as a pharmacy technician to not only give me my first job, but also have given me a chance to jump start into my future careerThere are many things that we can be thankful for, and I’d like to hear all of the things you all are thankful for. Comment this post with the things you are thankful for, or send an email to thechaotic1@yahoo.com and I will dedicate an entire post to all of the things you all are thankful for, sports related or personal.I’d like to thank all of you in advance for your donations to the BCGA in helping us try and reach our goal. I’d also like to thank Site5 once again for partnering up with FanSided for this wonderful charity drive, as well as our continued partnership on the net. That being said, I’d like to wish each and every one of you a happy holidays.
