Gavin Floyd threw a slider to Dayan Viciedo in the first inning with the bases loaded. The young slugger did not miss it. He hit a grand slam.

Viciedo, starting left fielder, got a heaping amount of praise from both Floyd and Ventura. Floyd was still able to get 28 of his 51 pitches over the plate for strikes.

Chris Sale moved along in his trek to be a starter pitching two scoreless innings. Brandon Short had a three-run double and Jared Mitchell provided a run-scoring single.

Going forward Manager Robin Ventura views catcher A.J. Pierzynski as his two hole hitter. Pierzynski went 2-2 in that slot on Saturday with an RBI double.

Team Dunn defeated Team Konerko 8-4. The team will kick off Cactus League action next week.
