Sox to Sign Barnum

According to the
Tampa Bay Times, the White Sox are close to signing supplemental round draft pick Keon Barnum. Barnum was entertaining the idea of attending the University of Miami on scholarship but it seems the team is close to closing a deal with the big first baseman. The recommended bonus for his draft spot is just over a million dollars, and the White Sox were not know for going above slot even before MLB’s new collective bargaining agreement, so its highly unlikely that will change now.
