DL Trip Official for Gavin Floyd

Gavin Floyd, who had been pushed back from his intended Monday evening start in Boston, has officially been placed on the disabled list by the White Sox. The roster moves creates room for Philip Humber to return from his own injury.

Floyd had an MRI over the weekend after complaining of some general soreness. The results showed no structural damage but team is opting to shelve him for a while to avoid further injury. The move is retroactive to July 8 so he will be eligible to start again in 6 days, should he be able.

Move retro to 7/8. Can start in 6 days

Starting pitching has been inconsistent for the White Sox as they can’t seem to find 5 guys that can all stay healthy at once. The only pitcher in the rotation that has yet to miss a start is, ironically, Jake Peavy.
