De Aza to DL; Jordan Danks Back With Team

Alejandro De Aza is being put on the disabled list for “back stiffness” after missing a few games since sliding into 2nd Friday night in Kansas City. De Aza has said that his oblique is what pains him the most and is keeping him from playing. Rather than deal with a thinner bench than usual, the decision to DL De Aza allows the Sox to call up some additional help, and Jordan Danks will rejoin the team.

Dewayne Wise continues his timely hitting and will likely be taking most of the day-to-day center field duties in De Aza’s absence.
