Sale vs Verlander...Not Anymore

The much ballyhooed Justin Verlander/Chris Sale match-up won’t be going down. This parade has officially been rained on. Thursday night’s contest has been postponed due to rain. The two teams will match up on Monday, a mutual off-day. The White Sox will be coming off of a weekend series in Minneapolis where they will pitch Sale, Jose Quintana and Jake Peavy. Francisco Liriano will go back to (remain in the?) the bullpen and Monday’s reschedule will be another opportunity for alleged Tiger killer Gavin Floyd to go to work, as he is slated to get the start. Here’s to hoping Robin leaves him in for a little longer this time.

Monday’s game will have a 1:10 start time and hopefully be another opportunity for the White Sox to extend their division lead.
