We Continue Our Inexplicable Ire At Nick Swisher – Lineups 4/12

The White Sox return not only to playing teams in their own league, but will also spend the weekend playing a team in their own division. The Indians spent the offseason making many changes, of which are undecided as good or bad in the long run. Most notably to the casual Sox fan is their acquisition of short-time Southsider Nick Swisher. Tonight’s Cleveland Indians starter Justin Masterson faced the Sox 5 times in 2012, never pitching terribly, never wonderfully but with his team coming away with the win 3 times. So far this season he’s performed very well, allowing just 1 run and 5 hits in a pair of 2013 starts. He has been prone to the walk, handing out 7 free passes in those outings. I’m no sabermagician, but something tells me that he’s not going to maintain his sub 1 ERA for too many more starts.

Tonight’s Lineup:

1. De Aza – CF
2. Keppinger – 3B
3. Rios – RF
4. Dunn – DH
5. Konerko – 1B
6. Viciedo – LF
7. Gillaspie – 3B
8. Alexei – SS
9. Gimenez – C

And for those Cleveland Indians:

1. Michael Bourn – CF
2. Asdrubal Cabrera – SS
3. Jason Kipnis – 2B
4. Nick Swisher – 1B
5. Mark Reynolds – DH
6. Michael Brantley – LF
7. Yan Gomes – C
8. Lonnie Chisenhall – 3B
9. Drew Stubbs – RF
