White Sox Look To Rebound at Home – Lineups 4/20

facebooktwitterreddit

Jake Peavy takes the mound for the White Sox in what turns out to be the first game of a brief two-game series against Minnesota.  Lifetime, Peavy is 6-3 with a stellar 2.92 ERA against Minnesota and only one Twin starter, Joe Mauer, is a lifetime .300 hitter against the Jakemister.

The White Sox offense will face Twins “ace” Vance Worley, who has never faced the White Sox before in his career.  Only one White Sox hitter, Jeff Keppinger, has ever faced Worley, and Keppinger only has six career at-bats against Worley.  On the season, Worley is 0-2 with a 10.50 ERA, so this seems like a nice opportunity for the Sox offense to rebound from a miserable road trip.

Dayan Viciedo was placed on the disabled list earlier today with a strained oblique, so Jordan Danks gets the start in center field, with Alejandro de Aza moving to left field.  Conor Gillaspie gets the start at third base with the right-handed Worley on the mound, with Keppinger moving to second base.

Today’s White Sox lineup:

De Aza — LF

Keppinger — 2B

Rios — RF

Dunn — DH

Konerko — 1B

Gillaspie — 3B

Ramirez — SS

Danks — CF

Flowers — C

Today’s Twins lineup:

Dozier — 2B

Mauer — C

Willingham — LF

Morneau — 1B

Parmelee — RF

Plouffe — 3B

Arcia — DH

Hicks — CF

Florimon — SS
