Riding The Angry Alex Rios High - Lineups 7/21

The White Sox may have exhausted all of their offense with their 13 hit, 10 run attack in yesterday’s game, but they’ll attempt to put something on the board today and hope for a series win against the Braves.

Standing very much in their way is Mike Minor, Atlanta’s 25 year old lefty in the midst of a breakout year. His ERA sits just above 3 and he’s struck out 20 batters over his last 3 starts. Two of those starts were against Miami, but it turns out that still counts.

Jose Quintana is riding a pretty solid stretch of outings and laughs at Minor’s 20 K’s in 3 starts. On the 4th of July Quintana struck out 11 Orioles, slapping his previous game high in strike outs (7) in the face. He went 7 innings and allowed just 2 hits in what is definitely in the running for the best start of his career.

Today’s Lineup:

1. De Aza – CF

3. Rios – RF
4. Dunn – 1B
