For his catch at the wall on Thursday, April 3, Chicago White Sox center fielder Adam Eaton was awarded with a “web gem” on ESPN Baseball Tonight.

Here is a link to the video of the catch by Eaton in a 10-9 loss to the Minnesota Twins.

If you haven’t seen the catch it is worth watching for the fact he not only caught the ball, but when he landed against the wall he held onto the baseball for the out, garnering the web gem honors.

If nothing else, one guarantee about Eaton this season is he will bring more excitement to the White Sox in 2014.

This season, through three games, Eaton is batting .250 as the White Sox lead-off hitter with two RBIs. His on-base percentage is .333 with two walks.

Eaton’s fielding percentage through three games is .800 with one error.

Eaton has played a total of 91 MLB games.
