One day without rookie first baseman/designated hitter Jose Abreu and the Chicago White Sox played one of their worst games of the season Sunday, an 8-2 loss to the Houston Astros.

This weekend was a complete bust for the White Sox, losing two-of-three to the Astros.

Maybe the Chicago Sun-Times put it best in one of their articles, writing:

"“Day 1 without first baseman Jose Abreu was — gee, how to put this mildly? — an abject disaster for the White Sox.”"

I agree, but maybe all of us are being to kind.

Yes, I know there are a lot of injures with this team, but Chris Sale only plays every fifth day, plus the rest of this team just seems to be lacking the energy they had in April.

They haven’t even swept a series yet this season, or won a series away from the city of Chicago.

Right now, it seems this team is in a tailspin, and we all know every team goes through a period of time during the season where nothing goes right. Let’s just hope for the White Sox sake this period of time where noting goes right doesn’t last for a long time.
