Game Preview: White Sox vs. Indians; Jose Quintana looking for 3rd win

On this Memorial Day Monday, the Chicago White Sox are hosting the Cleveland Indians in the first of three games at US Cellular Field, where the White Sox are looking to break a current two-game skid.

Game time is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. CT and can be viewed on CSN or for out-of-market viewers on MLB.TV.

For the White Sox, on the mound will be Jose Quintana, who enters this start looking for his third win of the 2014 season. Quintana is 2-4 overall with a 3.67 ERA. He’ll oppose Josh Tomlin of the Indians, who is 3-1 on the season with a 2.91 ERA.

For his career against the White Sox, Tomlin is 0-1 with a 3.98 ERA. He does have 19 strikeouts against Chicago in 20.1 innings pitched.

Players to watch for against Tomlin will be Alejandro De Aza, Tyler Flowers and Dayan Viciedo, as each are batting .333 against him, and each batter has at-least three at-bats against the Indians’ right hander.

As for Quintana, in his last three starts he’s 1-2 with a 3.93 ERA, with 14 strikeouts,

In 41.1 innings pitched against the Indians for his career, Quintana is 2-0 with a 2.61 ERA. He’s stuck out Cleveland batters 32 times.
