Game Preview: White Sox looking for 3rd straight win

The Chicago White Sox played a solid game on Monday night behind the pitching of Scott Carroll, and now the “Good Guys” will look to repeat that feat with John Danks going to the mound.

This season, Danks is 7-6 overall with a 4.12 ERA, while Workman is 1-2 with a 4.17 ERA this season.

With the game starting at 7:10 p.m., the White Sox will be opposing Brandon Workman, the RHP of the Red Sox.

Looking at Danks’ last three starts, he is is 1-1 with a 4.82 ERA with 13 strikeouts.

One player to watch against Danks is David Ortiz, who is batting .267 with one home run and three RBIs in 15 career at-bats against the White Sox LHP.

Workman is 0-2 in his last three starts with a 6.35 ERA. In that span, he has 15 strikeouts. He’s only pitched 1.1 innings against the White Sox in his career were his ERA is 6.75 with one strikeout.

Paul Konerko has an RBI against Workman in one at-bat.

On Monday, the White Sox defeated the Red Sox, 4-0, in what was the first of four games at Fenway Park. For the season, the White Sox trail the Red Sox in their series, 2-3.
