The Chicago White Sox made a quiet trade on their off day Thursday by sending second baseman Gordon Beckham to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for a player to be named later and cash considerations.
Being that Beckham was a first round pick in 2008, the pressure was on him from day number one.
He never lived up to the first round status at the plate, but he defense was really good for his six-year stay with the White Sox on the MLB roster.
As the trade happened on Thursday evening, there were many reactions on Twitter about the trade from White Sox fans and fans of the Angels.
Here are just some of those reactions:
"Gordon Beckham leaving the white sox is pretty much the worst thing that ever happened"
