Which AL Central team would you rather see win the division as a Chicago White Sox fan: the Detroit Tigers or the Kansas City Royals?

Since the Chicago White Sox are out of any chance to reach the postseason, in any fashion, the question for today is … As a Chicago White Sox fan, which AL Central team would you rather see win the division: the Detroit Tigers or the Kansas City Royals?

Here is a look at the AL Central standings before Friday’s games:

Detroit (84-68)
Kansas City (83-68) -0.5
Cleveland (79-73) -5.0
Chicago (69-83) -15.0
Minnesota (65-87) -19.0

Now focusing on the top two teams in the division, the Tigers and Royals begin a three-game series with the Royals this evening and through the weekend.

The Tigers are 7-3 in their past 10 games, while the Royals are 4-6 in their past 10 games.

Sept. 22-24 vs. White Sox
Sept. 25-28 vs. Minnesota

Sept. 19-21 vs. Tigers
Sept. 22 vs. Indians (game was suspended on 8-31)
Sept. 23-24 at Indians
Sept. 25-28 at Chicago (AL)

This race to the AL Central title will, I believe, come down to the final couple days of the season. If I were to predict to ends the season as the division champions I would pick the Kansas City Royals.
