The Chicago White Sox held their annual SoxFest this past weekend in Chicago, which means baseball is just around the corner.

Next month players start reporting to spring training, and before long all of us will be celebrating White Sox baseball on Opening Day.

As for the 2015 version of SoxFest, it looked like the mood was upbeat and everyone enjoyed themselves as we wait to see if this new and improved version of the White Sox will mesh on the field and results follow.

Even in an article on WhiteSox.com it talks about the high hopes all of us have for this ’15 team, with this quote from manager Robin Ventura:

"“But [White Sox chairman] Jerry [Reinsdorf] was aggressive and opened it up a little bit more for [Hahn] to be more aggressive and go after guys,” Ventura said. “It kind of leads back to [SoxFest] again, where everybody is pretty optimistic heading into this year.”"

Though the season is still a couple months away, we are less than a month from spring training, and around 36 days away from the first spring training game taking place.

With that all said SoxFest seemed to be a great success, and as a White Sox fan that is great to see. It is fun being excited for a baseball team in January, because we can all be honest with each other … we haven’t been this excited to see our team start a season with hopes of great competitiveness in quite some time.

More from White Sox News

After the seasons we’ve endured the past two years, especially in ’13, maybe this rebuilt and strengthened White Sox club will make up for all of those losses worthwhile.

There is no doubt this team will be one of the most interesting teams in all of baseball, not just the American League.
Until the season arrives, let’s look at the positives of SoxFest with what fans of the White Sox posted on Twitter over the weekend!
