White Sox let slug fest slip away late in Arlington

ARLINGTON, TX – The White Sox (23-10) and the Rangers (18-15) were back in action on Tuesday evening at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.

Last night the White Sox earned the dramatic victory in extra innings, on the strength of a game winning grand slam in the top of the 12th inning by Todd Frazier. Tonight it was the Rangers who earned the dramatic victory. In a game that included an hour plus rain delay, the most runs scored by the Sox in a single game, and the most runs allowed by the Sox in a single game the Rangers got the final laugh on the strength of a seven run eighth inning,

The White Sox took an 11-6 lead into the home half of the eighth inning, and the bullpen imploded allowing the Rangers to take a 13-11. Scott Carroll, Zach Duke, and Matt Albers allowed seven runs on five hits, and two walks with the final shot being in the form of a Ryan Rua three run home run to center field.

Escape Act

The escape act has to be the Rangers huge seven run seventh inning, allowing the Rangers to beat the White Sox for the first time in six attempts in 2016. The White Sox bullpen imploded for the first time in 2016, and coughed up an 11-6 lead, leading to the Sox first loss in nearly a week.

Game Ball

The game ball goes to Ryan Rua tonight, Rua went 3-5 with 2 R, and 4 RBI, including the game winning three run homer for the Rangers, setting up a rubber match tomorrow afternoon.
