Everything we have seen from Finnegan in the majors has been exceptional. But if he continues on to be a successful reliever, the Royals will not be satisfied. He was the 17th overall pick in last year’s amateur draft and was picked to be a starter. With just five career starts under his belt in the minors, he will have a lot to prove this year in Double A.
Raul A. Mondesi is a 19-year old kid with a ton of potential and in need of more minor league seasoning. Scouts believe at some point he will be a great defender with game changing speed and some pop.

Speaking of game changing speed, the Royals appear to have another Jerrod Dyson in the minors in the form of Terrance Gore.
During the playoffs, he stole three bases without being caught once in pinch run situations. His speed and defense will ensure he has a role in the majors but so far hasn’t shown enough at the plate to be any more than a reserve.
Kyle Zimmer was the fifth overall pick in 2012 but has struggled with injuries and has only made four appearances above Single A ball.
Hunter Dozier was the Royals’ first round pick in 2013 and had a solid year at Class A. With Moustakas having his struggles the last two seasons, Dozier could certainly have a future if he continues to hit.
