  • The Chicago White Sox defeated the crosstown rival Chicago Cubs yesterday afternoon 3-2, on the strength of five scoreless innings by starting pitcher John Danks. Danks also struck out seven Cubs hitters, while allowing only one hit.
  • The White Sox are back in action this afternoon at 3:05 pm (CT) against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Chris Sale makes his first start of the spring this afternoon, opposed by Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw. Catch all the action on CSN Chicago with Jason Benetti, and Steve Stone.
  • Adam Eaton told Bruce Levine, and Mark Grote of CBS Chicago that the White Sox “Lost a leader in Adam LaRoche“, but that the team was “moving on, and focusing on a new chapter of baseball”. Eaton also stated that regardless of media reports, he “finds it hard to believe” that any complaints about Drake LaRoche being in the clubhouse came from a player.
  • Adam Eaton will make his first start in the outfield of the spring this afternoon at Camelback Ranch versus the Dodgers.
  • Bob Nightengale of USA Today told Bruce Levine, and Mark Grote of CBS Chicago that “there was nothing in the Adam LaRoche contract stating that he could have his son in the clubhouse” and that a grievance is unlikely to be filed by LaRoche due to there being no enforceable condition in his contract in regards to the matter. Nightengale also stated that after White Sox Executive VP Kenny Williams asked Adam LaRoche to “dial it back” , LaRoche continued to bring his son Drake every day for at least three to four days before the situation came to a head this week.
