player. 128. . LF. Chicago White Sox. Eloy Jimenez. 9

The fact that Eloy Jimenez hasn’t even scratched the surface of his potential is bad news for the rest of Major League Baseball. He, in a season that he had two decently long stints on the injured list, hit 31 home runs and had 79 RBIs. As a rookie,  he was as impressive as anyone in the league. He came in fourth place for the American League Rookie of the Year which is a bit questionable. It doesn’t matter,  however, because the sky is the limit for this kid.

This is a guy that can make a big impact with his bat. He can hit for power and for average depending on the situation. He struggled to pick up what MLB pitchers were trying to do with him early on but once he figured it out, he was off to the races. It was an awesome rookie year for Jimenez last year which left fans wanting more.

2020 should see him develop into one of the best pure hitters in all of baseball. He will be the left fielder on Opening Day which should excite a lot of White Sox fans.  He will be an impact player from day one forward this season. If Jimenez can take yet another step, this team is going to be very dangerous at the plate.
