The Chicago White Sox should seriously consider bringing Chris Bassitt back.

If the Chicago White Sox made a trade for Chris Bassitt, there is no doubt that he would probably not end the year as the number five starter. However, with the stuff that Giolito, Kopech, Lynn, and Cease have done for the team in recent years, it is fair to have them 1-4. Being the five for Bassitt is more like he is just the fifth pitcher to go.

You heard about one of the best trades the White Sox made earlier with Dylan Cease. Bassitt reminds us of one of the worst in team history. They traded him to the Oakland A’s and he turned into a really good pitcher. Now, it would only be right to bring him back.

The A’s are going through a total rebuild now. It sounds like everyone on the team is available as the team looks to start over after a few really good years in the AL West. They never won the World Series over that stretch but they were very competitive every time.

Bassitt was a big part of it and now he might be on the block. The White Sox would have a truly elite rotation if it included the previously mentioned four with Bassitt on the tail end. By the time the playoffs roll around, the entire order could be completely backward and nobody would be surprised.

All of these guys are awesome. Hopefully, if Kopech does get his innings monitored and a few injuries happen here and there, the long reliever type guys can come in and make a spot start or two. Pitching is key in this league and the White Sox have a lot of it.
