3. Jose Rodriguez

The Chicago White Sox might have an underrated gem in Jose Rodriguez.

The Chicago White Sox have a lot of prospects that are known well by the casual fan. The previously mentioned guys in Jared Kelley and Colson Montgomery are examples along with guys like Yoelqui Cespedes, Oscar Colas, and Wes Kath.

One player that goes a bit under the radar right now is Jose Rodriguez. He is currently ranked as the number three prospect in the Chicago White Sox system right now. It will be interesting to see what comes of his career.

The White Sox signed him in 2018 out of the Dominican Republic. Since then, he has burst onto the scene and impressed a lot of people within the organization. He is a shortstop hoping to make it onto the MLB stage one day.

With Tim Anderson in the long-term plans at shortstop along with Montgomery (another shortstop) in the pipeline ahead of him, Rodriguez might be the man out. If that is the case, the White Sox should trade him for some MLB help.

This is a very good team with a contention window that is wide open right now. Those don’t stay open for very long, however, so the White Sox might want to do what they can to take the next step. That might take trading one of these prospects.
