Kyle Hendricks would really help the Chicago White Sox rotation in 2022.

There are actually a lot of really good starting pitchers playing for bad teams in the National League Central. The Chicago Cubs are no exception as Kyle Hendricks is one of the best pitchers in Chicago Cubs history. He is someone that has been so good for so long.

Unfortunately, Kyle isn’t what he once was but he can still be an effective starter on a good team that provides him with a chance to win. Although there have been struggles this season, the White Sox will still provide that down the stretch. You would also see Hendricks gain steam with a change of scenery in a positive way.

He is a little bit different than the rest of the White Sox starting pitchers. He is not a power pitcher and has never been. He pitches to contact by painting the zone. That is something that could make the White Sox rotation even harder to face should they qualify for the playoffs.

Hendricks could be exactly what the White Sox needed from Dallas Keuchel before he became the worst pitcher in baseball. He is also someone who has experience making deep postseason runs. His talent combined with that experience could help everyone around him get better. It is something to consider for both teams at this point.

The White Sox and Cubs have made more trades in the last handful of years than they had in the 20 leading up to them. They could very well do it again but you just never know. There is no doubt, regardless of what happens, that these three players would help the Sox.
