The White Sox could give up power for a very good arm like Frankie Montas.

The Chicago White Sox would just love to have Frankie Montas back. With Lucas Giolito, Lance Lynn, Dylan Cease, Michael Kopech, and Johnny Cueto in the mix for the rotation, Montas would have the chance to be a key piece of a very solid group.

Kopech is on somewhat of an innings limit and both Lynn and Giolito have struggled at times. Having some stability would really go a long way for this team and Montas would provide that for them right away. He would certainly look good near Cease at the top of the rotation.

Because of that fact, giving up a guy like Oscar Colas would go a long way. The A’s can really use big time prospects like that as he looks like someone who could end up being a very good baseball player. He is going to make an impact one day but we have to wait and see if it will be with the Sox.

Gavin Sheets has some pretty nice power from the left side which is something that the White Sox sorely lack. However, giving him up for Montas would be a big deal. Oakland would like him for the same reasons that the White Sox do so it is something to consider if they want a pitcher like this.
