Things seem to be (somewhat) on the rise for the Chicago White Sox but most people already have pegged them to be sellers at the trade deadline.
Maybe they will be sellers even before that as they want to get this rebuild 2.0 in motion if necessary. If they continue to fall in the standings, they might start to make some big moves.
They have a lot of players that would be worth something to other teams in the league and Tim Anderson is near the top of that list.
The Los Angeles Dodgers feel like a really good landing spot for Tim if he became availble. These are three trade packages between the Dodgers and White Sox that include Tim Anderson:
The Chicago White Sox could get a haul for Tim Anderson in a trade.
The Chicago White Sox get get a lot for Tim Anderson in a trade. In this package coming back, Los Angeles sends their number one, four, twelve, and twenty prospect. That is a great return.
Diego Cartaya could be the answer to the long term question marks at catcher with this team. He is the number one prospect that Los Angeles has and he could make a difference in the White Sox organization so soon.
Gavin Stone is also extremely highly touted. He is the number four prospect there but he could be the number two guy with the White Sox (if they also added Cartaya).
River Ryan and Jonny DeLuca each could become great players but added them in this trade is in hopes that you hit on one of them knowing it is possible that you hit on neither.
There are lots of ways a Tim Anderson trade with Los Angeles could go.
The Chicago White Sox are in a world of hurt right now. Trading Tim Anderson in 2023 is not something we ever thought we'd be saying.
Unfortunately, however, that is the dark truth of the situation. You're probably lying to yourself if you say you can see Anderson being there when this team is ready to compete again.
Sending him to a team like the Dodgers would be doing him a solid. It would also be helping the White Sox organization if they can get something good from a deal like this.
This type of prospect haul in this deal presented here would go a long way. Bobby Miller is the number two guy in thier farm system while Andy Pages is at number six.
Dalton Rushing could also be an answer at catcher if he continues to develop. The Dodgers don't need to keep him knowing that their number one prospect is also a catcher.
Kyle Hurt is a right handed pitcher that may or may not hit as a player but he is a good added piece to the trade.
The Los Angeles Dodgers could get a lot from the Chicago White Sox too.
Tim Anderson doesn't have to be the only Chicago White Sox player included in this deal. They can also have Lucas Giolito go to Los Angeles with him which would be a really nice boost for them as they look to win the World Series again.
Adding a stud shortstop and a great pitcher could really help them. This would end up being the big blockbuster trade of the season if it went down like this.
Having so many of Los Angeles's top five prospects come to the White Sox would be a great start to the rebuild 2.0. It is just a question as to whether or not the Dodgers would want to part ways with prospects like this.
Maddux Bruns is their best left handed pitcher on the farm so seeing him come over would be cool as well. At least two of the guys mentioned on the prospect side of things should end up being good Major League players.
As mentioned before, it would be more fun to see them become buyers because they are great but it isn't going to go that way this year. Seeing Tim Anderson leave is going to be very tough if it does end up happening.
