Sox sign Daniel Moskos

The Pirates have spent quite a few years earning high draft picks with poor performance. The fact that the trend has continued for 20 years says something about the conversion rate of the prospects they’ve drafted. Daniel Moskos was one of those “failed” prospects, and the White Sox

have claimed him off waivers.

Presumably Don Cooper had a look and said he’s got a shot to do something with the left-hander, so likely we’ll have the opportunity next spring to see if actually can. Moskos has seen some MLB time, he was brought up as a reliever last season for the Pirates and managed a 2.96 ERA in just under 25 innings. He’s only 26 years old so he’s not a complete bust yet.
