Relying On The Ace To Pull Them Out Of The Hole – Lineups 4/13

With the offense coming up short in support of Jose Quintana’s exceptional Friday night performance, the White Sox will look to put some runs on the board for their ace, Chris Sale. Sale proved in his last outing that he’s becoming the type of pitcher that can get outs when he doesn’t have all of his pitches working, and though he didn’t get credited with the win in that one, but the team won, and battling for the team is what it’s all about. A little fun with sample size: Sale has faced 16 left handed batters this season and he’s only allowed a single hit for a .067 average against.

Zach McAllister is on the bump for Cleveland. In his only 2013 start he allowed just 2 earned runs but the Indians would go on to a 4-0 loss. It was a contrast in control, as McAllister threw 2 wild pitches in his 6 innings while walking none. He’ll try to put the whole thing together against the struggling White Sox, who have lost every game they’ve played on the road so far.
