Paul Konerko to be honored in September by White Sox

The Chicago White Sox have announced they are honoring retiring first baseman/designated hitter Paul Konerko for the entire month of September at every home game at US Cellular Field.

On their page about the celebration of the career of Paulie, it says:

"“The Chicago White Sox will honor retiring captain Paul Konerko throughout the month of September with tributes and a special promotional calendar. The month-long festivities include the creation of ‘Club Konerko’ in Sections 158 and 159. ‘Club Konerko’ includes the blue seat (Section 159, Row 7, Seat 4) where Konerko’s grand slam landed during Game 2 of the 2005 World Series.”"

The page also says of how to obtain the special merchandise being given away:

"“Fans who purchase tickets in one of the two designated sections during the month of September (except for September 8 and 13) will receive an exclusive Paul Konerko-themed collectible and ‘Thank You, Paulie’ sign to be picked up at the Chicago Sports Depot (next to Gate 5 of U.S. Cellular Field) before the game.”"
