GLENDALE, AZ – The Chicago White Sox made their first series of roster moves on Friday morning.

The Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Chris Beck, and outfielder Daniel Fields to Triple-A Charlotte. Beck was 0-0 with a 10.80 ERA, and 3 strike outs in 3.1 innings pitched in Cactus League play this season. Fields had two hits, in eight at bats this spring.

The White Sox also reassigned right-hander Colin Kelvan, right-hander Josh Wall, right-hander Peter Tago, left-hander Will Lamb, left-hander Nik Turley, and catcher Omar Narzaez to minor league camp.

The White Sox now have 55 players including 26 pitchers, 14 infielders, 10 outfielders, and five catchers on their major league roster.

The White Sox are back in action this afternoon in Peoria as they take on the San Diego Padres at 2:05 pm (CT).
