CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox (10-5) and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (6-9) will play the finale of their four game series this afternoon at U.S. Cellular Field. First pitch is at 1:10 PM (CT), follow along live in the comments section below the article!

The White Sox will be looking to take three of four from the Angels this afternoon on the south side, as they dropped the opener in a forgettable game on Monday night when the Angels K.O.’d Sox starter Carlos Rodon in the first inning after tagging him for five runs on six hits, and two walks in just 1/3 of an inning.

The White Sox picked up the victory in both Tuesday, and Wednesday night on solid starting pitching of course. Mat Latos hurled 6 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball on Tuesday night to move to 3-0 with a 0.49 ERA on the year as the White Sox beat the Angels 5-0. Chris Sale was equally as impressive yesterday afternoon as he threw seven innings, allowing just one run on two hits, while picking up his fourth win of the season, and lowering his ERA to 1.80 en route to a 2-1 White Sox victory.

This afternoon in the series finale of this four game series, the 10-5 White Sox will send struggling starter John Danks to the hill to oppose the 6-9 Angels starter Jered Weaver. Danks is 0-2 with a dismal ERA of 7.94 on the season, while Weaver is 1-0 with a 4.35 ERA to date. The White Sox will need to provide Danks with some early run support to avoid letting the Angels escape town with a series split.
