Jon Paul Morosi of Fox Sports has reported that the White Sox are interested in former Toronto Blue Jays closer Jeremy Accardo.
Accardo had a very good 2007 season with the Blue Jays where he saved 30 games and had a 2.14 ERA. Since then he has been switching between the majors and minors, mostly staying in the minors. He spent most of last season with Triple-A Las Vegas posting a 3.48 ERA during his time there.
This looks like another option the White Sox are looking at to fill their open closer position because I still believe that the White Sox do not want to put Matt Thornton in that role and lose a premier left-handed set-up man.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Tampa Bay Rays are all interested in Accardo as well.
