Peavy day-to-day with mild groin strain
By Editorial Staff

Jake Peavy underwent an MRI on Tuesday which revealed a mild groin strain. The 30-year-old right-hander is listed as day-to-day and the team currently has no plans to place him on the 15-day DL.
Manager Ozzie Guillen said Tuesday that he is prepared for the worst and hopes for the best, though he said that before the MRI results had come.
This is a great example of why the White Sox are lucky to have as many capable starters as they do. A six-man rotation is uncommon, but greatly beneficial in case of injury.
Peavy is 2-1 with a 4.66 ERA in five starts this year.
