Peavy officially to DL

The White Sox officially placed Jake Peavy on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a mild right groin strain. The move is retroactive to June 6.

Peavy left his start Sunday after four innings – three perfect followed by one disastrous. An MRI Monday revealed the mild strain and Peavy revealed he had been feeling since his previous start.

The Sox recalled righty Lucas Harrell from Triple-A. If you recall, Harrell took over for John Danks after the Blue Jays battered him for nine runs in four innings a couple Sundays ago. Harrell allowed four runs in four innings, but given what they had already done to Danks, Harrell’s fate was sealed before he entered the game.

Ozzie Guillen will move back to a five-man rotation and Danks will start Saturday instead of Sunday against the A’s.
