Let’s Try This Again: Sox @ Indians 4/11
Deck re-shuffled. Yesterday’s rainout means false alarm on the Gordon Beckham, Alex Rios 1-2 punch. Perhaps one day the stars will align and we will be able to start off a game with an unprecedented strikeout followed by bases empty double play. Too soon for the Rios shot? Actually it was pointed out on Twitter yesterday that the White Sox have yet to hit into a double play yet this year. Quite the achievement indeed.
Humber gets skipped and we go straight to Danks today for an 11:05 Chicago time start in Cleveland. For the Indians, Justin Masterson will try and put his team in a position to win for the 2nd time this year. His last start and winning effort having fallen victim to the bullpen. Masterson has great stuff that finally started to show last season and was the main piece in the Victor Martinez to the Red Sox trade of a few years ago. Also, would you have guessed he was born in Kingston, Jamaica?
Today’s Lineup:
1.De Aza – CF
2.Morel – 3B
3.Adam Dunn – DH
4.Konerko – 1B
5.AJ – C
6.Alexei – SS
7.Fukudome – RF
8.Viciedo – LF
9.Beckham – 2B
Gordo back in that nice comfy 9 hole and Kosuke Fukudome still gets a shot against his former team. He only played half a season in Cleveland but he also did so pretty poorly so I’m sure he wants to show the city (because everybody is very concerned with what Cleveland thinks of them) that he is actually a reasonable talented baseballer.
Schedule your lunch around game time and give a local establishment that offers television viewing some money, folks.
