Eight Is Enough – Game Preview and Lineups 8/3

Eight game losing streaks aren’t pretty. Most times it means your season is done. The White Sox are in the midst of their second eight game losing streak of the season. The season, as far as competing in the standings is concerned, has been done for a while. Still, eyes on a #1 pick aside, if they’re playing the games they may as well win a few.

John Danks “righted the ship” his last time out, giving up just 1 earned run in his 6 innings immediately following a pair of outings that saw him surrender 11 . It didn’t matter much, as the Sox dropped the contest 3-2. Max Scherzer only went 6 innings in his last start, but he walked 0, he struck out 7 and he only allowed 1 hit. The Tigers gave him 10 runs of support and that win total of his continues to stack up.
