Chicago’s attempt at a late rally Thursday fell short, as the White Sox dropped its Cactus League matchup with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The club fell below .500 on the spring with the loss, and will look to rebound with another game on Friday afternoon against the red-hot Cleveland Indians.

In other news, issues between shortstop Jimmy Rollins and skipper Ryne Sandberg have reportedly arisen in the City of Brotherly Love, the Mariners’ $240-million man added another two hits in Spring Training action and Michael Pineda impressed once again as he vies for a spot in the starting rotation of the New York Yankees.
