Heading into his final season, longtime face of the Chicago White Sox franchise Paul Konerko saw his bat come to life with a bases-clearing hit in the club’s loss to the Texas Rangers Sunday – a promising sign for Chicago, especially given Adam Dunn‘s woeful Spring Training thus far.

Chicago will play in Cactus League action again today, and Southside Showdown will have all the pregame notes, game recaps and in-depth looks at the club throughout the day.

In other news, Arizona Diamondbacks’ ace Patrick Corbin has a torn UCL and could need Tommy John surgery, meaning lefty Wade Miley will take his spot in the rotation for the time being. Reports also surfaced that denied the links between free agent shortstop Stephen Drew and the injury to Jose Iglesias in Detroit.
