The regular season is finally upon us.
Last night, baseball returned to the States, with the Dodgers falling to the San Diego Padres on Opening Night, marking the club’s first loss after winning both games down in Australia earlier this month.
Today, most of Major League Baseball kicks off its season, with the Chicago White Sox and southpaw ace Chris Sale hosting the Minnesota Twins this afternoon at U.S. Cellular Field.
News also emerged that the LA Angels and outfielder Mike Trout compromised on his recent contract extension, Chicago first baseman Paul Konerko will likely sit on the bench in his final Opening Day and Rangers’ ace Yu Darvish is on the disabled list to start the regular season.
