During the first inning of the Chicago White Sox game, where they hosted the Boston Red Sox on Thursday, White Sox centerfielder Adam Eaton robbed Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz of a home run.

The run-saving catch by Eaton, saw him chase down the ball and leap into the air at just the right time for the catch.

Remember, Eaton (nicknamed Spanky) stands at 5-8.

Eaton even received an applause from “Big Papi” himself, as the catch ended the inning, keeping the Red Sox scoreless in the first.

Boston eventually won the game, 3-1, taking the series from the White Sox. Boston was the first team this season to win a series against the White Sox at US Cellular Field.

The win moves the Red Sox to 7-9 on the season, and the White Sox fall to 8-8. Chicago will now travel to face the Texas Rangers for a three-game series. Boston will next face the Baltimore Orioles.
