Once again, the Chicago White Sox showed what their offense is capable of, plus proved their bullpen is talented, as they had four shutout innings, Sunday afternoon.

Now if only the White Sox could play like that when the situations are a bit more pressure-packed.

Either way, the White Sox avoided a sweep and the team moved closer to the .500 mark at 9-10 overall.

Next up for Chicago is a four-game series with the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park, where the White Sox are sending John Danks (1-0, 3,32 ERA) to the hill vs. Anibal Sanchez (0-1, 3.21 ERA) of the Tigers.

More on those two later today at Southside Showdown.

This upcoming series with the Tigers (9-6) will be able to show just how much the White Sox have improved thus far in 2014, and it will be good to see just where they do stand with the defending champions of the AL Central. The Tigers have won their past two games.

Tonight’s game starts at 6:08 CT, and will air on WCIU and MLB.TV.
