The Sporting News ranked all 3o MLB General managers, and Chicago White Sox GM Rick Hahn came in at No. 13 overall.
The Sporting News wrote the following on Hahn:
"“Charged with the task of a potentially painful rebuild, Hahn got a good return last year for Jake Peavy and added a potential franchise-changing international player in Jose Abreu while his counterparts in rebuilding in Chicago whiffed on Masahiro Tanaka.”"
No. 1 on the list was Oakland Athletics GM Billy Beane.
I think Hahn is in the correct spot on this list. It could be argued he could be between No. 11-15 on this list, no higher, no lower.

As the article stated, the best move he’s been apart of is the signing of Abreu, followed with the signing of Adam Eaton, as I’m a big believer of Eaton at the lead-off spot.
I wish the bullpen and starting rotation could get a little more consistent, but hopefully that will progress with time. The White Sox really need to find an honest to goodness closer though, and soon.
Hahn has done a nice job in my book as for his continuing rebuild of this ball club. There are still pieces he needs to find for this roster.
Once he gets the players he needs, the White Sox will be a force in the AL Central, and will be able to challenge the likes of the Detroit Tigers once again for the top spot in the division.
