This is a matchup I’ve been looking forward to since it was found out the Chicago White Sox would be facing Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw in this three-game series.

The White Sox enter this game by having Jose Abreu back in the lineup after a stint on the disabled list.

Before landing on the DL, in 44 games, Abreu was batting .260 with 15 home runs and 42 RBIs. He also forced 10 walks before his ankle injury, while also hitting 11 doubles.

Abreu was the AL Player and Rookie of the Month for April. He last played a game on May 17.

Pitching for the White Sox will be Jose Quintana, who is 3-4 overall with a 3.61 ERA. Kershaw is 3-2 on the year with a 3.57 ERA.

Quintana has eight innings against the Dodgers in his career, with no wins or losses and six strikeouts. Kershaw in his career vs. the White Sox (10 innings) is 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA and 10 strikeouts.

The game will air on CSN and for out-of-market viewers on MLB.TV.
