It is simple … which player go you want the Chicago White Sox to sign this offseason through free agency? This list includes power hitters and starting pitchers who could make a big difference on the roster of the White Sox in 2015.

• Victor Martinez (DET-DH): The White Sox badly need a left-handed/switch hitting bat in the middle of their lineup, and Martinez could fit the bill. Age and salary could be an issue considering he is coming off a career year at age 35.

The deal he signs could be for over $15 million, and the length of the deal may be three or four years. That is too long of a contract in my opinion, due to the fact that he will be approaching 40 near the end of a four-year deal, which will be well past his prime.

• Adam LaRoche (WSH-1B): Even though he is in the same age range as Martinez (35 next season) he is still a good defensive first baseman, not to mention he is a left-handed hitter.

While the Washington Nationals have yet to decline his option, there are reports stating that they will. While I don’t think that LaRoche is the ideal choice due to the fact that the White Sox want to play Jose Abreu at first base, he could be a possible fit.
