Southside Showdown will be previewing each team of the AL Central this week, before the start of the 2015 MLB season. The first preview of this series will be the Minnesota Twins.

Last season: 70-92, Last in the AL Central

Notable players lost: SP Kevin Correia

Notable players added: OF Torii Hunter, SP Ervin Santana

The Minnesota Twins are coming off of their fourth consecutive season of losing 92 games or more. As a result, long time manager Rod Gardenhire was let go and Hall of Famer Paul Molitor was hired to replace him.

Molitor will have his work cut out for him this season if he plans to get this team out of the cellar of the AL Central. They were a pretty good offensive team last season and that should continue in 2015. It is defense and lack pitching that is going to need some work.

Here is a more in-depth look at the team.
