The Houston Astros went undefeated last week and are winners of their last 10 games.

The free swinging bunch once again lead all of baseball in strikeouts but has made that notion irrelevant by also leading in both home runs and stolen bases.

When you add in the improvement of both the starting rotation and bullpen, it’s no wonder this group has the most wins in the American League as we enter the first week of May.

As hot as the Astros are in the AL, the Cardinals are their current equivalent in the National League.

They have won their last six games, all of which have come following the news of Adam Wainwright season ending Achilles injury.

Other teams on the rise include the New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants

Teams trending down include the Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies and Chicago White Sox.

Here are this week’s power rankings.
