This was one of the worst games of the season for the Chicago White Sox. It was a disaster from the first inning on in this one.

The Chicago White Sox had their worst game of the season on Tuesday night. It was a mess from the first inning forward and there were many things that left high levels of disgust in White Sox fan’s minds. Dylan Cease was on the bump in his second career MLB start and it wasn’t pretty. It was the first time he had a start on the road and it didn’t go his way. It isn’t entirely his fault they lost this game because the offense did nothing again but it will be interesting to see how he bounces back after this one.

It was a route for sure as the Kansas City Royals defeated the Chicago White Sox by a final score of 11-0. It is an ugly loss to a team that was 11.5 games behind them in the standings going into the game. The White Sox are officially in a funk and need to get out of it fast. They have two more games against this bad Royals team to get back on track.

The game came with a price along with the big loss. They lost Eloy Jimenez to injury one out into the game. He collided with centerfielder Charlie Tilson on the first out of the game and he left the game with what appeared to be an elbow injury. The White Sox announced it as elbow soreness and said he would be undergoing further examination. This would be a major blow to the White Sox this year even if it was just a short IL stint.

The White Sox need Jimenez this season and beyond, but most importantly, beyond. It might be time to consider having Jimenez DH for a while. He has now injured himself twice playing defense in left field and he isn’t a game-breaker defensively anyway. Jimenez is meant to mash baseballs and provide offense so it will be interesting to see if the White Sox make a change as far as that’s concerned.

This was a bad loss in many ways and one to forget quickly. Make it a thing of the past and move on. They are back in action tonight against the Royals once again and need to get a win in the worst way. Hopefully, they can end the skid with a win tonight.
