The Chicago White Sox have a stud in Tim Anderson and he had an amazing performance to lead them to a victory once again.

The Chicago White Sox defeated the Cleveland Indians by a final score of 8-3. They did it on the back of Tim Anderson who had an incredible performance. His four hits made his chances at the batting title that much better. That was his 6th four-hit game this season which leads all of Major League Baseball.

He has had an amazing September to run away with the batting title as he is currently on a 12 game hit streak where he is batting .400 with two doubles, two home runs, and four RBIs. His 36 hits in September are the second-most in all of baseball, and he only trails Yoan Moncada who has 37. It has been an incredible month for him as he winds down a magical year for him individually. His average is now at .339 which is not only good enough for the A.L. lead, but the MLB lead as well.

This game really dug Cleveland into a little bit of a deeper hole as they now sit 1.5 games back of the second wild-card spot in the American League. It doesn’t matter who makes the playoffs as the Sox aren’t making it themselves, but it would be nice to help bury your division rivals in your own stadium. This is a proud team that believes in their future and they are proving they can make some huge strides in the not so distant future.

Anderson and the White Sox will look to all but eliminate the Indians during their Thursday night season-series finale with them. It will be the last time these two rivals meet before going their separate ways until 2020. Dylan Cease is going to look to have one final good start before heading into a very important offseason for him. This season isn’t ending in the playoffs, but there is a lot to be excited about in regards to this team’s future.
