The Chicago White Sox are lucky to be in a world-class city like Chicago. This is a special place to live and it really isn’t like other cities. It is bigger than Boston but smaller than New York but like the other two, it is a huge sports town. It has a large following across five major teams. It is easily one of the best sports towns in the world and the FanSided 250 list proves it.
The Chicago Bulls round out Chicago at number 187. The Bulls are not very good on the court right now but they have a lot of history. They have one of the most dominant dynasties in the history of the National Basketball Association led by the greatest player to ever live in Michael Jordan. If they ever got good again there is no doubt that they can climb up this list and join the elites of the NBA.
The White Sox are there at 183 which is pretty good for the second cities second team. They haven’t been over .500 since 2012 and haven’t been to the playoffs since 2008. That is soon to change as all signs point to the team turning the corner in 2020. With a great core of players in place, they are looking to spend some money this winter so hopefully, they are able to get it done.
The Chicago Blackhawks have made Chicago a legit hockey town in a span of a few years with their success. They won the Stanley Cup in 2010, 2013, and 2015 on the backs of Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, and Duncan Keith. This has made a city fall in love with the team and now has some of the best fans in the National Hockey League.
The Chicago Cubs came in as the second leading Major League Baseball team and 40th overall. They might always be ahead of the White Sox in the race for most fans in Chicago but what goes on in between the lines is what is important. We may not be Cubs fans here but they deserve respect for what they have done to make the city love them. Led by players like Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant, and Javier Baez, there is no doubt that they and the White Sox make Chicago a great baseball town.

The Chicago Bears might own the Chicago sports landscape and as they get better on the field it will only continue. They came in at number 38 on the list which is good for the fifth-highest in the National Football League. They are always going to be really high on a list like this because win or lose, Chicagoans love their Bears. Their history of great players like Walter Payton, Mike Ditka, and Brian Urlacher combined with some greats from today like Khalil Mack and Eddie Jackson makes it a fun team to cheer for. The White Sox are lucky to play in a city like this and it is cool to be a part of it as a sports fan.
