White Sox: Three other right field options for Chicago

The Chicago White Sox has an area of need in the right field position and there are some good options out there via trade and free agency to consider.

The Chicago White Sox are in desperate need of some production from right field. It has been an area of concern for the last few seasons in Chicago. It wasn’t too much of a problem over the last three years because the team was rebuilding. They have collected loads of great young talent which has led people to believe that they are going to be really good for a long time in the not so distant future.

The problem is that they have had a long term plan at a lot of positions but the right-field really isn’t one of them. With Luis Robert planned to be the centerfielder of the future along with Eloy Jimenez in the left field. Nothing is secure in right so the White Sox are trying to load up that position as they head into 2020. There are a lot of options out there via free agency and trades.

They made a trade with the Texas Rangers during the Winter Meetings to acquire Nomar Mazara in exchange from their number six prospect Steele Walker. They could use Mazara in right when they are facing a right-handed pitcher. The thing is that they probably need more than just that. They have to add another piece in that position to work with Mazara. He doesn’t hit lefties as well as he does righties so they will be looking to combat that.
