The White Sox and their fans are over the moon excited for Luis Robert. He is currently the number three prospect in all of baseball. He has the tools to be one of the best players on the team. He can hit, he can fly, and he can field. If this kid hits the ground running in 2020, this lineup will be insanely deep. He is already off to a great start in Spring Training so he will be looking to break out this season.

Most of the time, you don’t expect guys to break out in their first season but Robert has the talents to do so. He should believe he can be in the conversation for Rookie of the Year if he stays healthy. We will now within a few weeks of the season how good this kid can be but it might take a while to adjust. Eloy Jimenez struggled a little bit out of the gate but once he learned how MLB pitchers are attacking him he took off.

Robert is right there with Moncada and Jimenez as pillars of this franchise’s success in the present and future. He really doesn’t have to lead the way this year but if he does it would be just another positive thing about this team. It is fair to assume that he will at least be okay in year one with the big club.
